Yoga as prayer is an invitation to remember that you can pray with your movement and that you can be divinely supported in moving your body with intention. Shadow contrast dance is a very important part of the puzzle, without noticing more challenging, uncomfortable feelings and learning from them, how can you fully be you? You cannot skip the darker, more shadowy parts of yourself. The more you push them down, they come back with double force, so that you finally give them your attention. You are perfectly imperfect just the way you are.
Shaking is a great practice to do anytime you feel you need to release any old, uncomfortable, heavy or angry energy from your body. Also in the heightened moments of stress, no music needed, just listen to what needs to be shaken to release what no longer serves and blocks you from moving forward. Free Dance is time to unleash your freedom. Enjoy and let your body guide you any way it wants to move, in the moment.
In stretching with reflection you are invited to ask yourself how can you bring more gratitude into your daily life? And integrate the other Qoya practices (if you did them in a sequence), unwind and give your muscles some tender loving care. Rest can be practised any time of the day, as it serves as an ultimate relaxation. Gift yourself space to be fully present with you, without any distractions.
